The 2nd completed Still life oil painting over the past year named "Still life with violin". The setup has taken about 1/2 a day and painting itself approximately 1.5 months. Actually I prefer to use "live" setup whenever possible and not photos to capture dimensional details, shadows and lights. The painting is 24" x 18" oil on canvas.

This is the 2nd completed Landscape oil painting over the past year. I called it "The Fall, sunny day". Not much to comment on, the words like slow running water, calm and silence are coming to my mind. The picture has been captured in Russia in one of its many forests. The painting is 18" x 14" oil on canvas.

 My daughter who likes to paint was asking me for a while to publish one of her works. Displayed is the portrait of Jack Sparrow created with 3 different density pencils - 2B, 4B and 6B. The work was obviously inspired by a well known movie "Pirates of the Caribbean"

 I have recently come across the beautiful bunch of roses in our local flower store. These roses looked so beautiful (I cannot explain what pulled me to them) that they are now in my studio waiting to be reflected on new painting tentatively called "Roses". I hope in a week or so the painting will be complete.
