A bit of retrospective from my 2007 works. "Still life with fruits" The painting sizes 14" x 12" oil on canvas and took about 2 weeks to complete.  The setup was relatively straightforward compared to my other works (about 3 hours) though idea was "out there" and I needed to just materialize it.

The 3rd completed Still life oil painting over the past year I have called "Still life in dark green". As with all of my paintings I am very demanding in regards to setup which sometimes takes a few days with arrangement and re-arrangement. Painting is 24" x 18" oil on canvas and consists of 2 color layers. Overall the work took almost 1.5 month to complete. One of my fellow artists has recently told my painting style falls more into "magical realism" definition. OK let it be it. Eventually it is only name.

The 2nd completed Still life oil painting over the past year named "Still life with violin". The setup has taken about 1/2 a day and painting itself approximately 1.5 months. Actually I prefer to use "live" setup whenever possible and not photos to capture dimensional details, shadows and lights. The painting is 24" x 18" oil on canvas.
